Spring Foraging
Find out what's growing right around you that you can use for food, fuel, fiber or medicine in early Spring in the Northwest. Join us for an ethnobotanical walk and learn more about our native ecosystem.
Fall Foraging
This is a compliment to the Spring Foraging workshop where you'll become better acquainted with the plants, shrubs, and fungi that share our NW home.
Summer Delights
How to grow great bell peppers (yes! you can grow sweet peppers in the NW), tomatoes, basil and other warm weather crops successfully.
Mushroom Cultivation
Grow your own low maintenance mushrooms in your own backyard. During this class, we will plug logs with the spawn of Shiitake and Oyster mushrooms and participants get to take their own inoculated logs home.
Solar Cooking
We've been using our solar cookers for 7+ years to bake chicken and turkey, make applesauce, reheat food for lunch, make brownies and so much more! Learn how to use this versatile technique to harness the sun's energy and cook up something delicious...free energy!
